My absolute favorite phrase is ‘but God’.
I’m so weary, but God will give me strength.
I’m lonely, but God will be my friend.
I’m in pain, but God will comfort me.
I’m broken, but God will put the pieces together.
Even one of my favorite verses:
Man looks on outer appearances, but God looks at the heart.
This is so true. Always pray when you feel insecure and rest in the strength and peace of God’s grace. Stay strong in the truth that God is your confidence and wisdom.
"And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?"-Matthew 6:30It seems natural to think that God doesn’t care for us because of His enormity. His epic volume and mass alone are enough to make us feel worth none of His time. But here we see that He cares for the flowers enough to provide for them, and they’re even more temporary than we are. We can agree that we are most certainly worth more than all the flowers in the world, so why do we forget this when we think about God’s relationship with us? He loves us! He died for us! He didn’t die for the flowers, but He still provides for them. Remember His unfailing love today.
I started promising myself to
never stay anywhere I’m not
very much wanted. I have too
many scars to be breaking
my bones to fit into places
that weren’t made to fit me.
